VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) 2012:
VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) is the entrance exam conducted by
VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology). VIT University imparts futuristic
technical education and instill high patterns of discipline which set global standards,
making students technologically superior and ethically strong.
VIT 2012 engineering entrance exam is very important exam for those who
want admission to engineering courses offered by Vellore University.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1990 are eligible to apply for VIT Engineering
Entrance Examination - 2012. They should have studied in regular, full-time, formal
stream in the school.
- A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 60% average marks in Physics, Chemical and
Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB)
- A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB) for candidates belonging to
SC/ST, students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir
and from the North Eastern states.
- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech Bioinformatics,
Bio-Medical engineering and Biotechnology programmes.
How to Apply?
Offline:
The Prospectus and the information brochure for the B.Tech. Degree programme - 2012,
along with the necessary enclosures which include the application form and a printed
self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of 
950/- from
the various post offices as given in the VIT website: www.vit.ac.in
OR
- By sending a Demand Draft for 950/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’ payable
at Vellore to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore with a
request letter containing the complete address with phone number.
- By handing over a DD of 950/- in person at VIT University from the following

Steps to be followed before filling up of the VITEEE-2012 On-line
Application form:
- Candidates can also apply online at www.vit.ac.in/admissions
- Before filling the application form, kindly refer to the information brochure carefully.
- Fill all the columns carefully, incomplete application form will be rejected
- Enter the required details and then click on the 'Submit & Proceed to Printing'
Button on the bottom of the page.
- Please check the content before proceeding for print. The print out should be in
A4 size only
- The duly filled-in application form to be affixed with colour passport size photograph
and Signature
- The application form is to be sent along with the DD of 900/- drawn in favour
of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore for Indian candidates / DD of 50 USD for
NRI candidates.
- The application form has to be sent to the Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore-632014,
Tamil Nadu, India
- Kindly note down the application number generated for any future correspondence.
- Kindly write the name and application number of the candidate on the reverse side
of the Demand draft.
- Candidates are advised to take photocopy of the application form.

The VITEEE-2012 will be held on Saturday, April 21st, 2012.
The test will be of (Two and half) hours duration at 2.30 p.m to 5.00 p.m.
