The decision is expected to receive the VC’s approval in the meeting of the university’s
working council scheduled for July 15.
The entrance examination of MBA (session 2011-12) course
of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) would be held on September
14. Along with the announcement of the entrance test's date, the university authorities
have extended the date of depositing of application forms, of the said course, upto
September 5.
Giving this informing, the public Information Officer of UPRTOU Dr. Prabhat Chandra
Mishra said that the decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the university
officials presided over by the UPRTOU vice-chancellor Prof Ashok Kumar Bakshi on
Friday(2nd Sep).
The MBA entrance test would be conducted in Allahabad, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Noida,
Varanasi and Bareilly.
Meanwhile the newly appointed VC of the open university met the students at the
study centre of the main campus of UPRTOU on Friday. While interacting with the
students who had come to the university for filling up application forms for various
courses, Prof Bakshi inquired about their views about the courses being offered
by the open university and what else should be done to enhance the facilities at
UPRTOU.
At the student welfare centre at Civil Lines premises, the VC witnessed
long queue of students standing in the scorching Sun who had come in large numbers
in view of last date for first, second and third year of different courses which
is closing on September 15. The VC instructed the authorities to install tin sheds
at the place which would provide relief for the students from heat and sun. He also
instructed the authorities to start a helpline to help the students who want to
fill application forms of different courses available at UPRTOU, said Mishra.
