TBS forays in Gujarat for Management Education
Part of the Ahmedabad-based Bansal Group, Times Business
School (TBS) has announced it foray into Gujarat with the
launch of its campus in the city, the institute is looking to offer
management programs for students and working professionals alike.
Affiliated to the University of London (UOL) and
Guru Jambeshwar University (GJU), TBS will be
offering BBA, MBA, B. Com, BCA, MCA and Diploma programs at its Ahmedabad campus.
"The institute emphasises on gaining experience through the simulated environment
of the corporate world of decision making during their learning phase. Accordingly,
the learning process involves extensive classroom instructions, face-to-face sessions,
field experience, e-learning, case analysis and individual projects culminating
into a balanced approach of technical inputs and group tasks.," said Sandeep Bansal,
Director of TBS.
With the Bansal Group already having presence in sectors like ship clearance and
hospitality industry, its education venture - TBS - will also be offering programs
in hotel management. TBS will be providing a Diploma in Hotel
Management and a specialised course in Bachelor of
Journalism and Mass Communication.
Talking about the functioning of the institute, Akram Khan, Assistant Director -
TBS said, "The institute believes in continuous evaluation of every student, as
a measure of performance and also as a means for motivation. Evaluation is done
through assignments, case studies, periodic quizzes, projects and semester-wise
examinations. With this process we want to create a new generation students who
are practical in approach to handle corporate situations and are market ready."
For its specialised programs, TBS has already made tie ups with leading chain of
hotels in the hospitality industry and would be able to provide on job training
opportunities for their students as well, Khan added.
