The school will offer six-month diploma and one-year advanced diploma courses. Besides,
two-day weekend courses that will focus on the basic aspects of photography at its
newly-established campus at Lavale. "We will begin with weekend courses from September
while the diploma and advanced diploma studies will have to be aligned with our
academic year at the Lavale campus, which will happen from the second half of the
ongoing year," Vidya Yeravdekar, principle director, SIU, told a news conference.
While there is no age barrier for students and photography lovers, who desire to
join the course, the eligibility too has been restricted to good grades in Std XII
and a basic grasp of communication, said Yeravdekar. According to SIU Vice-chancellor

studies aimed at giving a holistic and fulfilling experience to students from our

engineering, media, communication and design (M&CD), humanities and social sciences."
Rajadhyaksha said, "The courses, designed by professional practitioners and to be
taught by well-established specialists in the subjects, will help students become
complete professionals. There is a roster of visiting faculty, who are renowned
names in the world of commercial photography."
