The Institute has been established in the year 1941 as a Department of Architecture
of Delhi Polytechnic. The Institute had been affiliated to the Delhi University
from 1959 to 1978. The Institute is known as School of Planning & Architecture for
admission to B.Arch and B.Planning course. Since 1979, this Institute SPA has got
entered in the list of deemed Institutes from the Government of India.
The Institute has been marked as one of the best architecture as well as planning
Institutes in India. School of Planning & Architecture (SPA) Delhi is a well known
institute in India that offers architecture as well as planning course and have
been recognized in the country due to the high level of quality education followed.
Admission to Bachelor’s programmes in Architecture and Planning (SPA
admission 2012) for the session 2012-2013 will be considered through
All Indian Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2012) & it will
be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), strictly on merit,
subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria and reservation of seats as per the
approved norms of the School.

Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50%
aggregate marks and Mathematics as a subject in class 12th. Candidate must pass
AIEEE 2012 entrance exam and then he/she is eligible for SPA Admission 2012.
How to Apply?
To get admission to SPA 2012 undergraduate architecture program candidates need
to clear AIEEE’s B.Arch/ B.Planning entrance exam.
Registration process:
There is no as such special registration process of SPA but you can directly follow
the AIEEE registration process as you can get SPA admission 2012 only through AIEEE
