Students can get the information on one call in local rates, especially during the oncoming admission season. Timing for call is Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5.30 pm.
Delhi University will soon get an information centre
that will address queries from callers across the globe. Students, alumni members
and others will be able to acquire information on the University by dialing global
helpline number 155215 when the centre becomes operational by the end of this month,
senior officials said on 16th Thursday. The centre is aimed at making information
on the university available from a single source, bringing relief to students who,
at present, have to knock on various doors with enquiries on university programmes
and procedures. Though students can call the number from any part of the world,
they would only be charged local rates. The information centre will have 15 lines.
The university has appointed information executives, who will answer queries. The
centre will function as a nodal centre for information, especially during the oncoming
admission season. Former Dean of Student Welfare, S.K. Vijay, has been put in charge
of the information centre, work on which was launched last year. The centre will
initially receive calls during office hours (Monday to Friday, between 9 am and
5.30 pm).
