SIRTAR to Introduce D.Ed Course
The State Institute for Research, Training and Rehabilitation (SIRTAR), Rohtak will
introduce D.Ed course from the current academic session.
This was stated by Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Geeta Bhukkal,
while presiding over a meeting of Governing Body of Welfare Society for the Home
for Persons with Special Needs on 26th April.
She said that for the D.Ed course, the intake capacity would be 25. Two courses
B.Ed with an intake capacity of 25 and Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation and
Psychology with an intake capacity of 10 was already being run by the institute.
Ms. Bhukkal said that SIRTAR employees would get the benefit of sixth Pay Commission
from January 1, 2009 and a written communication would be sent to Finance Department
for its implementation.
She said that after getting approval from Chief Minister, their case would be submitted
to Finance Department for sanction. She said that a number of schemes were being
implemented for the welfare of persons with special needs by the government.
