RPMT Entrance Exam 2012 - Overview
Established under the Act Of State Government - "The Rajasthan University Of Health
Sciences Act, 2005" (Act No. 1 of 2005)" on 25 day February, 2005, the
Rajasthan University conducts pre medical test
and aims to disseminate and advance knowledge in medical and health sciences. The
University provides academic and research facilities in various streams to the students
studying in various Government Colleges (Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy and
Paramedical) and private colleges/ institutions affiliated to this University. The
University endeavors the process of making itself a leader in world medical education
by focusing on the systemic instructions, teaching, training and research activities.
Details of RPMT 2012 entrance
exam is given as below.
Course Offered:
- MBBS
RPMT 2012 Entrance Exam Eligibility:
- The Candidate must complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2012,
i.e., born on or before 01-01-1996.
- He or she has passed the qualifying examination as under: The Senior Secondary
examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to
10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of
Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English as compulsory subject. Candidates
having Bio-Tech. stream at 10+2 level are eligible only for
MBBS course.
- The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology
and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together
in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology at the qualifying examination and
in addition must have come in the merit list as a result of such competitive entrance
examination by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
taken together in the competitive examination.
- In respect of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward
Classes and Special Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and
Biology/ Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination and competitive
entrance examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above. Further, for persons
with locomotors disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General
PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ ST-PH/ OBC-PH/ SBC-PH are required.
How to Apply Himachal Pradesh combined pre-medical entrance test?
- The Application set of RPMT 2012 entrance exam
is in three parts:
- The "OMR Examination cum Application Form"
- Two window envelopes for dispatching the admission card and mark-sheet and
- The large envelope for sending the filled in form to this office.
All these are supplied in another large envelope.
- The candidate should fill OMR Application form as per instructions given in the
Information Booklet. The candidate must paste a postal stamp of
5/- each at
the place indicated on each envelope.
- The candidate shall send filled OMR Application form and all envelopes to the Convener
RPMT - 2012, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences,
Sector-18, Kumbha Marg, Pratap Nagar, Tonk Road, Jaipur – 302033 (Raj.)
- The Application Form must reach this office latest by Mid of April, 2012 up to 5:00
P.M. Application forms, for whatsoever reasons, reaching after this time and date
shall not be entertained. No excuse for delay in submission of application form
shall be accepted.

Reservation Seats for Admission:
- 15% of the seats in Govt. Colleges will be reserved in MBBS Course to be filled
up by an All India Entrance Examination to be
conducted by the agency of Govt. of India.
- Out of total 24 Seats, 4 in each State Medical College of Rajasthan of MBBS Course
will be reserved for candidates selected under the Central Government pool. The
Central Government Authority will fill up these seats.
- 16% seats, after excluding the seats of sub-clause (a), (b) above are reserved for
natural born (not adopted) candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste. 25% out of the
above reserved seats shall be reserved for girl candidates belonging to Schedule
Caste.
- 12% seats, after excluding the seats of sub-clauses (a), (b) above are reserved
for natural born (not adopted) candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe. 25% out
of the above reserved seats will be reserved for girl candidates belonging to Schedule
Tribe. 45% of ST seats are to be for ST candidates who are bona fide residents of
scheduled area (tribal area).
21% seats, after excluding the seats of sub-clauses (a), (b) above are reserved
for those belonging to Other Backward Classes as notified in the Presidential Order
for the State of Rajasthan and who fulfill conditions as laid down in Clause-III.
25%, out of the above reserved seats shall be reserved for girl candidates belonging
to Other Backward Classes.
