Punjab Medical Entrance Test - PMET
Punjab medical entrance exam is conducted by Baba
Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot through Guru Nanak Dev University,
Amritsar. PMET 2012 entrance exam is held for
admission into the first year of the programs like MBBS, BDS and BAMS into the various
government and private affiliated medical colleges/institutes under Baba Farid University
of Health Sciences, Faridkot in Punjab. MBBS in Christian Medical College and Ludhiana
and B.Sc Nursing in College of Nursing, Ludhiana follow separate rules for the admission.
Course Offered:
- MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery.
- BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
- BAMS - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery.
- BHMS - Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery.
PMET 2012 Entrance Exam Eligibility:
- MBBS, BDS, BAMS: The candidate should have passed
10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board. The candidate must have
attained 17 years of age and must be permanent resident of the state of Punjab.
- BHMS: The candidate must have passed their 10+2
or equivalent examination with 40% (for SC/ BC 33%) marks in aggregate with Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board or in PCB group.
How to apply for PMET 2012 Entrance Exam ?
The forms for PMET 2012 are expected to be available
by May in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and also from selected
Canara Bank Branches. The form can also be obtained by post from Baba Farid University
of Health Sciences, Faridkot by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for
form.
The candidates that want to send the application form through post have to provide
a signature of the candidate in the back side of the Demand Draft and should also
clearly mention the registration number at the top of the requisite letter. The
