PIMS-AICET-UG 2012 for admission to MBBS/BDS Course:

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, has invited applications for All India Common Entrance Test 2012, popularly known as PIMS-AICET-UG. PIMS AICET UG 2012 entrance exam is scheduled to be held on the date mentioned below for admissions into the following Undergraduate (UG) medical and dental programmes, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012 Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Common Entrance Test (PIMS-AICET-UG) to be conducted by the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni for selection of students to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) course run by the constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences.

Course Offered:

• MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery.
• BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

PIMS-AICET-UG 2012 Exam Eligibility:

• Candidate must be Indian National and the nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of nationality.
• The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1994 to be eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-UG exam.
• Candidate must have passed the Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course.

How to apply for PIMS AICET UG 2012 Entrance Exam?

Candidates can apply to University courses using any of the following 3 options:

• Option 1: Download the application form from this website and send it to University by desired date.
• Option 2: The prospectus can be purchased from University Admissions office or by writing to the following address on payment of 500/- (for by post add 200/- towards postal charges). The DD should be drawn in the name of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni payable at Pune.

Exam Pattern

• The duration of the AICET is of three hours. The test is conducted on the predefined syllabus depending upon courses. The question paper for the CET consists 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQ), each correct answer carries one mark.
• There is no negative marking.
• The AICET is conducted during May-June every year for undergraduate courses and in January for PG courses.
