Infosys offered jobs to 10 students, which is the highest
The first phase of rolling campus placement for the fifth
batch of School of Petroleum Management concluded at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum
University (PDPU) in Gandhinagar on Friday. So far, the outgoing batch
has been offered the highest salary of
12 lakh and average package of
7.38 lakh. This is higher than last year where the highest offered was
11.89 lakh while average was
6.3 lakh.
More than half the batch has been placed in the first phase. Infosys offered the
highest jobs to 10 students, which is the highest. Apart from Infosys, other big
names that visited the campus includes Ernst & Young Pvt. Ltd, Indian Oil Corporation
Research and Information Services, Sabarmati Gas Ltd, Mahanagar Gas Ltd, Gujarat
State Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Jubilant Energy, Yes Bank and AFMercados EMI. SPM
Chairperson (Corporate relations and placements) Akash Patel said, besides energy
sector companies, non-energy sector firms like IT and consulting, financial institutions
etc visited our campus to recruit for their energy verticals. The students are happy
with the profiles offered to them. The highest package offered is
12 lakh but we will not reveal the company that has put forth the offer. Forty of
60 students have been placed so far. Few more companies have confirmed their participation
in campus recruitment process in the coming weeks.
