Joint Entrance Examination - 2012, ORISSA
OJEE is known as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or Orissa JEE (OJEE) for the
candidates of the state quota of Orissa. This is a single entrance exam through
which students can take admission for courses in various disciplines including Engineering,
Technology, Architecture, MBBS/BDS, Pharmacy, MBA, MCA and Hotel Management & Catering
Technology joined the selection process via JEE for the state of Orissa. From 2003
onwards Biju Patnaik University of Technology has become the conducting body of
JEE in the state of Orissa. The numbers of candidates appearing in JEE Orissa for
admission into varied disciplines offered by some of the most renowned colleges
of the state are rapidly increasing and it has become most reliable and fair medium
for them.
Orissa JEE Eligibility Criteria:
Engineering/Technology: Passed or appearing in
2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and mathematics
as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology
/ Biology / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Geology /
Statistics. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained
at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the
above subjects taken together.
Architecture: Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2
examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and mathematics as compulsory
subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer
Science / Biology. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must
have obtained at least 45% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category)
in the above subjects taken together.
This 5 year B.Arch. degree course are to be subject to passing NATA conducted by
the council of architecture and the minimum passing score for NATA is 40% for all
categories. NATA shall be a prerequisite for admission into B.Arch. Course, but
the ranking shall be on the basis of OJEE-2012 ranking and admission to the course
is based on the OJEE-2012 rank.
For Admission to Second Year Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture
under Lateral Entry: Passes or appearing in 2012, in diploma examination
in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture from State Council of Technical Education
and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% in case
of candidates belonging to SC/ST Category) in the qualifying examination in appropriate
branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture for direct admission to the third
semester degree courses in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture.
For admission to Second Year Degree course in Engineering/Technology
under Lateral Entry for B.Sc./ +3 Sc/ Students: Passed or appearing in
2012, for the bachelor’s Degree Examination of three years duration in science from
any University of Odisha or equivalent from a recognized University as defined by
UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% incase of candidates belonging to ST/SC Category)
in aggregate in the qualifying examination and must have passed XII Standard with
Mathematics as a subject.
PGAT (M.Tech/ M.Arch) for admission
to 1st Year Master Degree courses in Engineering/ Tech./ Architecture:
Engineering/Technology/Architecture: Passed or
appearing in 2012 Bachelor’s Degree of examination on the relevant field from any
University of Odisha or equivalent recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE.
The Candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate
belonging to SC/ST Category) in the qualifying examination.
Architecture: Passed or appearing In 2012 Bachelor’s
Degree of examination in the relevant field in Architecture from any University
of Odisha or equivalent recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE. The Candidate
should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST
Category) in the qualifying examination.
Outside State Candidate:
Outside State candidates are not eligible for admission in govt. Colleges but they
are eligible for admission to private colleges except private Medical (MBBS) Colleges
as per Odisha Government rule.
How to Apply?
Orissa JEE 2012 Application Form Procedure:
A] Application form can be obtained from Banks/ Post offices:
On payment of
550/- from the following branches of Post Office/ Syndicate Banks/ State Bank of
India.
B] Application form can be filled here on "JEE-2012 Online Apllication Form": The applicant
has to submit the receipt of confirmation slip and demand draft to chairman, OJEE-2012.
The draft should be made for
550/- drawn in favour of "OJEE-2012" on any nationalized bank payable at Bubaneswar.
C] Application form can be obtained from OJEE-2012 Office:
Candidates can also apply for Application Form by post on payment of A/C
payee Demand Draft for
550/- drawn in favour of "OJEE-2012" on any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar
along with a stamped (
75/-) 30cm x 25cm Size cloth lined self addressed envelope from the Office of the
Chairman, OJEE-2012, JEE Cell, Gandamunda, P.O.: Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar - 751030.

SYLLABUS
List of OJEE-2012 Centres with their Centre Codes:
Select three different places in order of your preference. Enter the appropriate
codes in the boxes provided at the top and darken the corresponding circles below
them. The first preference must be entered under column-I and the second and the
third preferences under column-II & III respectively. A Joint
Entrance Examination (JEE) centre may be cancelled owing to poor response,
operational difficulties or any other reason. Candidates may not necessarily be
allotted a particular place as JEE of their choice.
OJEE Reservation:
The reservation of seats in different colleges under various categories will be
as per the policy of the Government of Orissa. The percentage of seats to be reserved
for different categories is subject to change and the decision of the State Government
as on the date of admission will be applicable.
Application Fee for OJEE:
Application fee for applying for OJEE 2012 is
550/- (Five Hundred and fifty Rupees only).
