NSIT to admit Students on the basis of AIEEE Rank
New Delhi: CBSE declared the result for All India Engineering
Entrance Exam (AIEEE) on Sunday. This year, 11.14 lakh students had registered for
the test while 10.5 lakh students finally appeared for it.
General category students with at least 48 marks are eligible to fill in choices
for online counseling for B.E/ B.Tech and B.Arch/ B.Planning to be conducted by
the Board. NSIT, under the faculty of Technology, University of Delhi, will admit
students for full-time B.E programmes on the basis of the merit rank in AIEEE.
NSIT offers B.E courses in various disciplines, including Electronics and Communication
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Manufacturing
processes and Automation Engineering, Information Technology and Biotechnology.
The combined intake of these programmes is 619 and 85% of seats are reserved for
candidates belonging to Delhi.
Aspirants can apply online on www.nsit.nic.in for counseling. It is mandatory for a candidate
to deposit one-time, non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,000 by June 15, 2011,
to access the online registration. The last date for submission of online choice
