The department is mulling over whether to set up a separate equivalency calculator
like the one used for the International Baccalaureate (IB) board
In a meeting with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
officials on Tuesday, the state government has finally agreed to grant CBSE students
provisional admissions, but only after the online admission process ends on August
10.
The department is mulling over whether to set up a separate equivalency calculator
like the one used for the International Baccalaureate (IB) board. Meanwhile, CBSE
school principals felt that the meeting was futile. "We do not want provisional
admission without knowing the conditions. What if children take admission, and the
state later decides to cancel it?" asked a CBSE school principal.
Vineet Joshi, CBSE chairperson said, "We have put forth all the points from our
side. Now it's up to the state to decide what course of action is to be taken for
equivalency."
