NERIST NEE 2012 Entrance Exam - Overview:
The North Eastern regional Institute of Science and technology is one of the well
known technical institutes in India and known for its excellence learning atmosphere
for the students. The institute conducts entrance examination every year and for
each courses there will be separate entrance examination. Generally the examination
is divided into three NEE I, for certificate courses,
NEE II, for Diploma, and NEE III for degree courses.
The popularity of the institutes and courses attracts a large number of north Indian
and other national candidates to take the examination.
North Eastern regional Institute of Science and technology, Nirjuli conducts an
entrance examination for the various degree, diploma and certificate courses called
NERIST NEE 2012 Entrance Exam. The examination
is conducted at various centers located in eight north eastern states of India.

Eligibility Criteria for NEE III Entrance Test - Degree Admission:
The candidate must be three year diploma pass out from the recognized polytechnic
institute or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks in the final examination.
The upper age limit is 40 years and there shall be consideration for the reserved
category candidates.

Application Form, NEE-2012 for admission through NEE–I, NEE–II and NEE-III can be
obtained from Directorates of Higher Education of 8 North Eastern States and main
branches of Axis Bank at Itanagar, Guwahati (Paltan bazar & Christian Basti), North
Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Nagaon, New Bongaigaon, Silchar,
Karimganj, Shillong, Tura, Aizawl, Imphal, Kohima, Dimapur, Gangtok, Agartala, Dharmanagar,
Siliguri, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, Lucknow, New Delhi, Raipur, Chennai,
Bangaluru, Mumbai and Pune @ 
750/- for GE/OBC, and 400/- for ST/SC/PD.

Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern / Syllabus:
Syllabus of NEE III Entrance Test for Degree Admission:
- The questions will be of multiple choices and has 4 choices to answer
- There will be 100 questions with 150 marks
- Time allotted for the exam is 3 hours
- Each wrong answer will reduce one mark
- The paper is divided into four sessions and the candidates need to attend each part
to qualify for the examination. The four sections are as follows
