About MICA and Its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications):
Started in 1991, Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad
(MICA) is an autonomous non-profit management education institution.
MICA-India’s premier communications management institute is committed to become
a global leader in researching, educating, developing and practicing the art and
science of communication for the betterment of humanity. Mudra Institute of Communications,
Ahmedabad holds the MICA Admissions Test (MICAT)
every year.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications) program is approved by
the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Department
of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Communication is at the heart
of MICA’s academic programmes since its inception.
MICAT Eligibility:
Admission to the PGDM(C) programme requires a Bachelor's degree (in keeping with
the 10 + 2 + 3 (4) system) with minimum 50% marks, or an equivalent qualification
in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates
appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are
also eligible to apply.
Students who demonstrate aptitude for expressing, assessing, or conceiving ideas
that move people to action and achieve business results tend to stand a better chance
of being short listed.

You can also purchase application form from the admission office, MICA on cash payment
of
1750/- or by sending a demand draft of
1750/- in favor of "MICA" payable at Ahmedabad, with one self addressed stamped
(
20/-) envelope of the size 12" X 10".

Selection Procedure:
The selection process for the PGDM (C) involves two steps:
- Stage I: MICA Admissions Test (MICAT)
The MICAT is designed to assess analytical ability, divergent thinking, written
communication skills and general awareness about the Communications industry.
- Stage II: Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview
(PI)
Candidates short listed on the basis of Mudra Institute of Communications admission
test - MICAT will be invited for Group Exercises and Personal Interviews.
