Maharashtra Common Entrance Exam for Admission to Autonomous College
MHT CET Engineering Entrance Exam for Autonomous Colleges:
Government of Maharashtra conducts a single Combined Common Entrance Test for selection
to all degree courses in Health Science, B.VSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science
and Animal Husbandry), Engineering and Pharmacy courses. MHT CET Engineering Entrance
Exam is the most important Entrance Exam for getting admission in autonomous colleges
in Maharashtra. For selection to Engineering and Pharmacy courses Director, Technical
Education, Mumbai will be the Competent Authority for the MHT CET Exam. Candidates
have to appear for MHT CET and have to fill separate form for
MHT CET autonomous college admission.

Eligibility Criteria for MHT CET Engineering Entrance Exam:
A. The candidate must have passed the H.S.C. (Std.
XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Examination
or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics, and English as one of the subjects (minimum 45% marks
i.e. 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories
belonging to Maharashtra state only).
AND
B. The candidate must have secured minimum 55%
marks i.e. 110 marks out of 200 marks (minimum 50% marks i.e. 100 marks out of 200
marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra
state only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the MHT CET engineering
entrance exam.
How to Apply?
A single MHT CET 2012 Application Form and three information Brochures for MHT CET
Engineering entrance exam(Health Science, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be available
at Junior College/ High School where candidate has studied for HSC (12th Std examination).
Prescribed MHT CET engineering entrance exam for autonomous application forms as
per the requirement shall be obtained by Head Masters/ Principal of the college
from the Principal/ Dean of the notified college in the district as shown in given
below.
The cost of the Application Form along with the three information brochures of MHT-CET
and Examination fee is Rs. 700/- for open category and all Outside Maharashtra candidates
and Rs. 500/- for reserve category candidates (belonging to Maharashtra State Only).
This amount is not refundable.
The candidates from Outside Maharashtra (OMS)
can purchase application form and Information brochure(s) of MHT-CET engineering
entrance exam from any Divisional Authority office as mentioned in Annexure-A by
submitting Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- drawn in favor of "Competent Authority, MH-CET,
Mumbai" payable at Mumbai, drawn on any Scheduled Commercial Bank.

- MHT-CET Autonomous Exam for Engineering will be held in mid of March, 2012.

MHT CET Application Form:
Application Form Receipt Centres:
- The list of Application Receipt Centres (ARCs) is given below. As per the schedule
of admission process in various autonomous colleges in maharashtra, Candidate has
to fill the On-line application form with the application form attached to the information
brochure and then submit the same along with attested photocopies of certificates
at ARCs while confirming his application form.
- The filling up of online application is mandatory and the information filled in
the online form must be the same and according to the original documents of the
candidate.
- Candidate should carry all the original documents for scrutiny at ARC. If requisite
attested photocopies are not attached to application form the candidate may loose
the claim of the respective type of candidature.
- The incomplete or incorrect filled up application forms may be rejected at any stage
of CAPCAI and in such cases the candidate will be responsible for the rejection
of the application form. Application form submitted should be confirmed by the candidate
in person at any ARC, by obtaining duly signed receipt.
