Dear Sir, An Engineer can settle in job immediately after he/she qualify in their BE/ME. But Medicine is not like that. 1. After taking MBBS dregee when can we join MD?. 2. What is the average salary in India for an MBBS graduate? 3. How many years at an average a Doctor will take to settle down in his/her profession?. 4. Is it worth going for Medicine from a middle class family?. Hope you will have patience to answer my queries. Sorry for the trouble. Regards Arya Suresh Grade 8

After completing MBBS & internship, you can do post-graduation MD in each of the fields you studied in MBBS. The pay for doctors varies from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. As the doctor grows in experience and popularity, he may earn between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 and above.
Duration of the MBBS course is 4 years and ½ years internship after graduate can become a general practitioner you can start your clinic but if you want to do MD/MS this is for 2 years course after MD/MS you have employment opportunities exist in hospitals, nursing homes, polyclinics, health centers, Medical Colleges and Research Institute. There is also scope for self employment.
The student who is from middle class family definitely he can join MBBS degree. Government provides many of the scholarships for Medical courses to economically sound student and who got good score in 12th std.
Government Medical College’s fee structure is suitable for middle class family student.
