Municipal Corporation of Delhi Schools display Facilities for Students
To bring about transparency in their system and inform public in general, the schools
of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have displayed
the information of the facilities available for students.
"Notice boards in all schools have information displayed such as provision of education
for children between four to 11 years, admission, free education, provision of mid-day
meal, free text books and school bags etc.," MCD Education Committee Chairman Mahinder Nagpal on 19 April said in a statement.
Besides, to aware the parents and public in general about the same, the Corporation
has also put up advertisements on the panels of the Delhi Metro stations and trains,
he said. Dr. Nagpal further informed that the process of issuing identity cards
to all school students is almost done.
"Students studying in MCD schools generally belong to poor strata of the society
who do not have any identity card or ration cards. They have to face difficulties
in establishing their identity because of this. Now, at least their wards will be
having identity cards of a government school," he said.
