Kerala CEE Exam Dates, Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Application Form Details
KEAM 2012 Entrance Exam - Overview:
KEAM 2012 entrance exam (Kerala CEE 2012) is an
entry level examination conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government
of Kerala for admission of students into various technical and professional programmes
like Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Engineering and Architecture Degree courses
offered by several colleges and universities located in Kerala.

Engineering Courses:
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
- B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) [B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.)]
- B.Tech. (Dairy Science & Technology) [B.Tech. (D.Sc. & Tech.)]
Architecture Course:
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)
Medical Courses:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
- Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS)
- Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)
Agriculture & Allied Courses:
- Bachelor of Science-Agriculture [BSc. Hons. (Ag.)]
- Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc.)
- Bachelor of Science-Forestry [BSc. Hons. (Forestry)]
Veterinary Course:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc. and AH)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Medical and Agricultural Courses: The candidate
who have passed higher secondary Exam from board of Kerala or government recognized
institutes with 50% marks in Biology/ Biotechnology separately, and 50% marks in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible for Kerala CEE 2012.
- Engineering Courses: Candidates who have passed
Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or any government recognized institute, with
50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/
Computer Science/ Bio-technology/ Biology put together are eligible for admission.
How to Apply?
Application Form Submission Procedure for Kerala Exam/ Kerala
CEE:
The Kerala CEE Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from selected Post
Offices in Kerala and outside the State (to be notified later), on payment of the
prescribed fee (
700/- or
350/- as the case may be), by cash.
OR
Login to the official website (www.cee-kerala.org), fill the application form & get the
printout of the filled application form and remit the application fees
700/- in any of the branches of State Bank of Travancore (SBT).
OR
Candidates who do not have access to State Bank of Travancore (SBT) can attach a
Demand Draft for
700/- drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
payable at Thiruvananthapuram, as application fee along with the application form
(Application Number and Name should be written on the back of the Demand Draft).

Exam Pattern
Paper pattern for KEAM 2012 Exam:
The Entrance Examinations for Engineering and Medical/Agricultural courses will
be conducted separately, each test with a relative weightage of 5:3:2 in Mathematics,
Physics & Chemistry in Engineering Entrance Examination and in Biology, Chemistry
& Physics for Medical/ Agricultural Entrance Examination.
The Kerala Common Entrance Examination (CEE) will
not conduct Aptitude Test for B.Arch. The Selection of candidate for Architecture
is based on National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
which is mandatory for admission to the 5-year B.Arch Course.

Negative Marking:
For each correct response in the Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations,
the candidates will be awarded FOUR marks, and for each incorrect response, ONE
mark will be deducted from the total score.
