Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Planning and Architecture Common Entrance
Test (JNTU PACET)
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad conducts Planning and
Architecture Common Entrance Test (PACET). On the basis of
JNTU PACET 2012 entrance exam merit, candidates are admitted into 5 year
B.Arch., 4 year B.Planning. and 6 year
B.Arch. (PTDC) and other related courses. 6-Year Part Time Degree Course
(PTDC) is for Diploma holders in Architecture with 2 years of experience as architectural
assistant.
Courses Offered:
- B.Arch. (5 Years).
- B.Planning. (4 Years.)
- B.Arch. (6-Year Part Time Degree Course (PTDC)).
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate should be Indian national.
- The minimum age of the candidate is 16 years.
- The candidate should also belong to Andhra Pradesh.
- The candidate should have passed the class 12th examination from Andhra Pradesh
or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
- The candidate must also have studied mathematics and English as main subjects up
to class 12th level.
- Candidate with 2 years of work experience as architectural assistant can only be
admitted to 6-year part time degree course in Architecture (B.Arch. - PTDC)
How to Apply?
The cost of the application form for the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
PACET entrance exam is
400 /-. People can avail it in person from the mentioned centers by paying a demand
draft of
400/-, or can download from the website and pay
400/- in the form of demand draft while submitting. One can also avail the form
by post by writing to Secretary, APSCHE, with a demand draft of
450/- only.

Exam Pattern
For B.Arch.: The examination is conducted in 2
parts. The first test is drawing test and tests the drawing aptitude of the candidate.
The duration of first paper is 2 hours. The second test is Aesthetic Sensitivity
Test and tests the perception, creativity, imagination of the candidate. The duration
of this examination is 2 hour and is computer based.
For B.Planning.: Single test of 2 hours duration.
