IIA - Combined Written Entrance Test (CWET) for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Indian Institute of Aeronautics:
Indian Institute of Aeronautics (IIA) is one of the oldest Aircraft Maintenance
institutes in India. It was established in 1983 at Patna though it was later moved
to Delhi in 2001. It has got recognition from Directorate General of Civil Aviation
(DGCA), Government of India. It is also the first A.M.E. Institute in India which
has been enlisted in Aviation Training Directory of ICAO (International Civil Aviation
Organization). IIA has institutes in Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jamshedpur and Kolkata.
Indian Institute of Aeronautics (IIA) is known
as IIA which conducts combined written entrance test (CWET) for admission to aircraft
maintenance course.
Indian Institute of Aeronautics provides excellent training in Aircraft Maintenance
Engineering with hands on training with Aircraft engines. Students who have completed
AME course from IIA have got placed in best of Aircraft maintenance jobs with Private
and Government firms. Candidates have to go through an admission test for being
selected in AME course.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics/
Diploma in engineering/ B.Sc with PCM. Also the age of the candidate should be between
17-24 years when he appears for the Indian institute of Aeronautics engineering
entrance exam.
Schedule
Important Dates:
- The last date of submission of form is 15th May, 2012.
- Combined written entrance test 2012 (CWET) on Third week
of June 2012.
- The result of the IIA - combined written entrance test will be declared generally
within three days after exam.
Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern/ Syllabus:
Students will be selected through an admission test of hundred marks, comprising
of objective type questions (Multiple choice) of 80 marks and subjective type questions
of 20 marks. Objective type questions cover the subjects like Physics, Mathematics,
General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning etc. An essay in English is to be written in
the subjective type part. There is no negative marking. Duration of admission test
is 2 hours. Candidates should use blue or black ball point pens for answering the
question. The result of the test is generally declared within three days from the
commencement of the exam. Depending upon the merit list of CWET, students are called
for admission.
Selection Procedure:
Depending upon the merit list of CWET, students will be called for admission on
the specified date which would be mentioned on the admission letter
