India to be a super power in Pharma by 2012 with 1 Lac Crore market
Induction programme was conducted at the Indira College of
Pharmacy for the First Year B. Pharm students. Prof.
Wakalkar in his address stressed upon the various aspects related
to Professional courses in the wake of Globalization as well as the latest Indian
scenario and the significance of Healthcare Management and role of Pharmacy in holistic
evolution of the society.
Mr. Naineesh Bora with all his experience and
expertise in the Pharmaceutical production, enthused the students with pride and
confidence for selecting an ideal professional career. He highlighted the growing
horizons of the Pharmaceutical sector and thereby the growing need of trained and
qualified work force. The Indian Pharma industry has grown multiple folds in the
past few years and by the year 2012 it would cross 1 Lac Crore mark. He particularly stressed
the need of positive attitude for the Pharma professionals and the guts to face
the ground realities in the Pharma marketing, and to overcome the inhibitions to
start the career with marketing which helps one to evolve as a true Pharmacist.
Dr. Mahesh Burande Director of the college in
his remarks listed out various opportunities post B.Pharm. He elaborated on the
aspects of the profession and how the Pharmacists are the inevitable constituents
of the society who earn the love as well as the respect of the society.
