About Indian Institute of Technology Delhi:
Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the seven
established Institutes of Technology in India, the others being Kharagpur, Bombay,
Madras, Kanpur, Guwahati and Roorkee. Recently, Government has set up eight more
Institutes of Technology. These Institutes have been created as centers of excellence
for higher training, research and development in science, engineering and technology.
The Institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through its Departments
and Centres. The Institute admits about 850 students for the undergraduate (B.Tech)
programmes and about 1400 students for the postgraduate (M.Sc/ M.Tech/ M.S (Research)/
M.Des/ M.B.A/ Ph.D) programmes every year.
IIT, Delhi Entrance Exam Eligibility:
The candidates having the following qualifications are eligible to apply for admission
to the
MBA Course:
- Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Architecture/ Pharmacy/ Technology/ B.Sc. Agriculture
Engineering/
Engineering Courses (minimum 4 years after 10+2).
OR
- Master's degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Sciences like
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science,
Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/Information Science, Agriculture
or Master's Degree in Commerce/ Economics, CA/ICWA.
- Those appearing in the final year examination may also apply. However, the candidates
must finish their final qualifying examination before the last date of registration,
(exact date to be notified in admission letter). Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate
(of all the years/ semesters) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in
the above mentioned degree programmes essential for admission.
There is a relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e.
min. 6.25) for SC/ST
candidates and as per Institute norms for PH category. Those having applied to IIT
Delhi MBA Programmes on qualifying the
JMET entrance exam 2012 will be short listed and then invited for a group
discussion and interview, which will be held at Delhi and Mumbai.

How to Apply?
- Step 1: Send your request on a plain paper asking
for an Application Form along with Self-addressed stamped (Rs. 7/-) envelope (Size
9’ ”x4’ ) to the Deputy Registrar (PG) Section, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi,
Hauz Khas, New Delhi-110016. The application form can also be downloaded from the
Website:
www.iitd.ac.in
- Step 2: Obtain a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- (Rs.
500/- for
SC/ST/PH candidates) made in favour of "Registrar IIT Delhi" payable
at New Delhi. Fill in the details of this draft on the Application Form as specified.
- Step 3: Send the Application Form, duly filled
in and signed, along with the requisite demand draft to:

Do not send this application to the GATE Office. Also, if you are sending applications to more
than one participating Institute of the JMET, make sure you send the correct form and demand draft
to the correct Institute.

Selection Criteria for IIT Delhi:
Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test is
the first step in the process of seeking admission to the MBA Programmes of IITD.
Those having applied to IIT Delhi MBA Programmes on qualifying the
JMET will be short listed and then invited for a group discussion and
interview.
GD/PI Test Centres:
Application Fees:
Application fee for General Category Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 500/- for
SC/ST/PH candidates.
Procedure:
Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test is
the first step in the process of seeking admission to the MBA Programmes of IITD.
This jointly conducts every year in December along with IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay,
IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.
The IISc and participating IITs will use the results of JMET to short list candidates
for the subsequent part of the selection process (es). Applicants should note that
they have to apply for and send separate application forms to different IITs and
IISc as per their choices. Candidates are advised to refer to the details provided
by each of the Institutes in this website. An applicant can apply to as many programmes
as desired by him / her subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements.
