IIM-A performed better than top ranked business school University St. Gallen of
Switzerland
Already celebrating its 50th year of existence, IIM-A added
another feather to its cap after it was ranked seventh in the Financial Times (FT)
Masters in Management 2011 Rankings. IIM-A is the only Business School
from India to feature in the ranking once again this year after being ranked eighth
in 2010.
As per FT's findings, IIM-A performed better than top ranked Business School University
St. Gallen of Switzerland, third ranked HEC Paris and fourth ranked ESCP Europe
in terms of weighted salary. As per its survey, IIM A's 'salary today,' which is
an average of salaries three years after graduation, is $103,524. It also indicates
a rise of $10,831 as compared to last year. IIM-A were ranked 2 under 'placement
success rank.' Under this category, the alumni who were placed by the institute
vouched for institute's effectiveness.
The survey also pointed out that the percentage of women students was 10 which is
5 less than last year. However, it improved its performance under international
mobility category rank (41) and international course experience (42).
Meanwhile, there was some more good news as IIM-A was ranked as the best among the
top B-schools in India by a leading Indian magazine. It was ranked best under recruiter,
faculty and student perception.
