Centralised Admission Process Committee member says other details will be released
on July 25
The standard XI admission forms for the Indian certificate
of secondary education (ICSE) students will be made available only at the Marathwada
Mitramandal College of Commerce (MMCC), said Rekha Palshikar.
The member of the centralised admission process (CAP) committee informed that the
Central board of secondary education (CBSE) and the Maharashtra state board students
can get the forms at any junior college.
Palshikar, who is also vice-principal of Fergusson College, was addressing a counseling
awareness camp for parents and students at the Nowrosjee Wadia College on Tuesday,
21st June 2011. CAP oversees the admission process of standard XI in junior colleges.
She said the Maharashtra board students can get the forms and submit it at any junior
college. CBSE students will get the forms at any junior college, but should submit
it only at MMCC. ICSE students will get and submit the forms at MMCC only.
The CAP panel member said only one center has been made the incharge for accepting
ICSE and CBSE forms as their admission process is slightly different. "There will
be a separate section for accepting ICSE and CBSE forms at MMCC. The forms of Maharashtra
board too will be accepted here," she said.
Counselors will be available at all centers, where the forms will be accepted to
guide parents and students. The information on where to submit forms, last date
of submission and other admission details will be made available through the media
on July 25, she said.
"We will be briefing the press on July 24 so that it appears in all newspapers the
next day," said Palshikar, who also explained how to fill admission forms. Assistant
director for education, P.P. Sable, was also present. They answered parents' queries.
