Integrated Common Entrance Test Details
ICET Entrance Exam
Integrated Common Entrance Test is an entrance
examination for admission to Master of Computer Application and Master in Business
Administration courses in various colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh. It
is conducted by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam every year on behalf of Andhra
Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (ASPCHE). A large number of students appear
for ICET to get admission in the best colleges in Andhra Pradesh. ICET is conducted
in around 20 cities across Andhra Pradesh and the candidates can mention their preference
in the application form. Candidates have to follow all the instructions provided
during exam time. Selection is based on the rank obtained by the individual in the
entrance test.
Courses Offered:
Eligibility criteria for ICET Entrance Exam:
- The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status
requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations
of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date.
- The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities
concerned.
- The candidates seeking admission :
- For MBA: Should have passed recognized Bachelors
Degree Examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45%
marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.
- For MCA: Should have passed recognized Bachelors
Degree examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45%
marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics
at 10+2 level.
- The qualifying Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition
by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
- The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also
be eligible to appear for ICET-2012.
- Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory
Bodies.
- Qualifying marks in ICET-2012 is 25% and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST
candidates.
Mere qualification in the entrance test does not entitle
a candidate to have been admitted into MBA/MCA course unless the candidate:
- Appears for Counseling at the notified Centers.
- Applies in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned
(for part-time/evening/distance mode).
- Satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority
concerned.
How to Apply?
Duly filled-in application forms (placed in the printed cover supplied) may be submitted
along with relevant documents without late fee either by Speed-Post/ Registered
Post or deliver in Person to the Convener, ICET-2012, Department of Commerce and
Business Management, Kakatiya University, Vidyaranyapuri, Warangal – 506 009 (A.P.),
India on or before March 29th, 2012 upto 5.00 p.m.
The application forms may also be submitted on or before:
- 09-04-2012 upto 5.00 p.m. along with a late fee of
500/-
- 16-04-2012 upto 5.00 p.m. along with a late fee of
2000/-
In the form of Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “The Secretary,
APSCHE” payable at Hyderabad. Application forms sent other than Registered/Speed-Post
and in person will not be accepted by the Convener. Application forms received after
the specified date and time and incomplete application forms will be summarily rejected.
Online Submission of Application Form
Application forms can also be submitted online. However, a copy of the application
downloaded along with the Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, APSCHE”
payable at Hyderabad is to be sent to:

Fees structure for ICET Entrance Exam
Application form for ICET along with instructions booklet can
be obtained in person on payment of Rs. 250/- in cash at:
- E-seva centers in Andhra Pradesh.
- Head Post Offices in A.P., Post offices located on the University Campuses.
