Himachal Pradesh (HP) Combined Management Aptitude Test Details
HP CMAT 2012 - Overview:
HP - CMAT 2012 is conducted for admission to
Master of Business Administration (MBA) course for all the universities/Institutions
affiliated to universities in Himachal Pradesh. HPCMAT – provides two years MBA programme.
This complete programme includes some essential objectives like technical, human,
analytical and conceptual skills. Its knowledge of different important areas of
management is which has been use later on for some specializations in six different
sectors are – Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Production and Technology Management,
Information Technology Management and International Business.

Eligibility for HP CMAT 2012:
Candidates should be graduate from any recognized university established by law
in India (with 50% for open and 45% for SC/ST). Final year candidate can be also
appears for this entrance exam.

How to Apply?
The HP combined management aptitude test application
form along with prospectus can be obtained at institute’s cash counter by paying
500/- (
250 for SC/ST) or by post by sending a DD of
550/- (
300 for SC/ST) in favour of “Director, IMS HP University”, payable at Shimla.

Exam Pattern
The admission is based on the Entrance Test i.e. HP-CMAT that comprises of:
- Applications ratings
- Management Aptitude Test (multiple choice Questions)
- Group discussion
- Personal interview.
The Aptitude Test will have four sections:
- English Comprehension
- Reasoning
- Business Environment
- Arithmetic Comprehension & Data Interpretation
Each section will have about fifty (50) questions.
The performance in HP-CMAT is the basis for screening the candidates for group discussion
and personal interview. Normally, three candidates for each seat are called for
group discussion and personal interview.
The performance in the Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and application
rating will be the criterion for admitting the students. The candidates for NRI/NRI
Sponsored / Foreign National / Self-Financing Seats compete among themselves, so
is the case with the subsidized seats.
