Networking hardware typically refers to equipment facilitating the use of a computer network. Typically, this includes routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls and other related hardware. Computer hardware includes various physical parts of computer. Networking involves the practice of linking a group of two or more computer systems for sharing data and information. The professionals related to discipline of computer hardware research and computer network developments are called as hardware and networking engineers. They also design and supervise manufacturing and installation of hardware.

Eligibility: A science background at HSC level is preferred for students willing to enrol for different degree and diploma courses for Hardware and Networking. Reputed training institutes, colleges and universities offer programs on hardware. For networking, a degree or diploma in computer science, electronics, electrical and telecommunication is required. Graduates of this program would be able to appear for MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer), A+ Technician Examinations, Sun Certified Administrator and Certified Wireless Network Administrator. In addition, recruiters prefer certain global certifications.
