Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will declare the Gujarat Common Entrance
Test merit list on July 8
Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will declare the Gujarat
Common Entrance Test (GCET) merit list on July 8, six days after the second and
final phase of the GCET examination gets over, confirmed Dr. G. P. Vadodaria, GTU's
controller of examinations. The test is being conducted in two phases.
The first phase was held from June 25 to 28 and the second phase began on June 29
and will end on July 2.
Dr. Vadodaria said, "23,740 students registered for phase I, of which 22,827 appeared
for the test. A total of 4,596 students took the exam from Ahmedabad at five centres
in phase I."
Regarding the number of students at the five centers in Ahmedabad, Dr. Vadodaria
said that at the Indus Institute of Technology & Engineering (IITE), 1,280 students
took the exam; 1,1319 students appeared at the LJ Institute of Engineering and Technology;
at Nirma University, 793 students appeared for GCET; at Som-Lalit Education and
Research Foundation, 750 students took the exam and 454 students sat for the exam
at Vishwa Karma Government Engineering College. On day one of the second phase,
Dr. Vadodaria said that out of the registered 6,929 students, 6,491 appeared for
the test.
