Salary packages starting from 5.5 lakh per annum have been offered to the students;
they will be joining the company’s Sanand plant in July 2012
In its first-ever campus recruitment drive in the state,
Ford India, a subsidiary of US auto major Ford Motor Company, offered jobs to 12
students from L D College of Engineering.
The company offered them salary packages starting from
5.5 lakhs per year. The
students will be joining the company’s Sanand plant in July this year. The recruitments
are believed to have been done for the company’s new manufacturing plant in Sanand.
The company’s HR team from Chennai came here to carry out the recruitment process
which went on till late in the night on December 28.
Till now, 25 companies have recruited 228 candidates from L D College of Engineering
in the campus recruitment, which is an all year process. The students who were recruited
belong to different engineering fields like automobile, mechanical, electrical and
IC. In the coming days, apart from Ford, recruiters like Essar, Coca-Cola, GHCL,
Cairn India among others will visit the campus to recruit candidates.
