Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders 2012
(ECET FDH 2012 Exam) is an engineering entrance test conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru
Technology University, Hyderabad JNTUH on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council
for Higher Education (APSCHE) for direct admission in several branches of Engineering
like, Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical for the Diploma Holders etc.
ECET-FDH is meant to take admissions in direct
2nd year B.E / B.Tech and B.Pharma programs through lateral entry scheme which are
specially marked for Diploma holder candidates. Candidates have to appear in objective
type (multiple choices) written entrance test conducted by APSCHE, test will be
based 10+2 syllabus.

Applications are invited from Diploma Holders in various branches of engineering
namely,
- Civil.
- Electrical and Electronics.
- Mechanical (including Automobile, Packaging Technology, Printing Technology & Foot
Wear Technology).
- Computer Science Engineering (including Special Diploma).
- Electronics and Communication (including Special Diploma/ Special Diploma in TV
and Sound Technology/ Diploma in Bio-Medical Engineering (including Special Diploma)).
- Mining.
- Chemical (including Sugar Technology/ Ceramic Technology (Sandwich)/ Textile Technology/
Leather Technology).
- Metallurgy.
- Ceramic Technology.
- Electronics and Instrumentation (including Special Diploma).
- Bio-Technology.
- Pharmacy.
- B.Sc, Graduates with Mathematics for the Common Entrance Test.
Eligibility Criteria for ECET FDH 2012 Exam:
Candidates who obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories) of marks at the qualifying
examination for both i) Diploma Holders and ii) B.Sc Pass outs (passed 10+2 with
Mathematics as a subject) are eligible.
How to Apply?
The application fee is of
300/-. It can be bought from any of the designated main post offices or the designated
main Andhra Bank branches in the state. Students need to carefully fill and sent
the ECET FDH 2012 exam application form with necessary
documents of proof to the specified address of the JNT University, Hyderabad before
the last date.

Exam Pattern
ECET FDH 2012 Exam Pattern:
- Candidates have to appear in multiple choices questions in entrance test.
- Negative marking is not applicable in this entrance exam.
Syllabus: Test will be based on the basic syllabus of 10+2 standard.
