Students Need To Fill the Form Online and Submit Hard Copy By July 3
The online submission of applications for the centralised
admission process (CAP) for post-SSC (Std X) diploma courses in engineering and
technology for academic year 2011-12 will start from Wednesday, 22nd June.
Diploma aspirants will be able to access the online forms on the state directorate
of technical educations (DTE) website: www.dte.org.in/poly2011
from Wednesday, 22nd June. The last date for submission is July 3rd. Candidates
with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (Best-5) in the SSC exam, with science and
mathematics subjects, are eligible for admission.
Students have to fill up the form online and then take a print out of the same for
submission, in person, at any of the designated application receipt centres (ARC's).
The list of designated ARC's can be referred to in the admission notification posted
on DTE's website.
The DTE has advised students to ensure they put in their signature on the printout
hard copy before submitting the same, along with the attested photocopies of supporting
documents, at the ARC. Confirmation of online forms and verification of documents
will be done at the ARC's.
Online pleas notwithstanding, it is mandatory for diploma aspirants to first procure
the information brochure and application kit from the ARC. This is because the kit
consists of the application ID and password, which they will require while filling
up their online form, the notification states.
Other than Maharashtra state (OMS) candidates are not eligible for admission through
CAP. Such candidates are directed by the DTE to contact unaided polytechnic institutes
for admission to seats from the institute quota.
Details relating to availability of engineering and technology post-SSC
diploma seats across the state and the number of institutes will be released on
the DTE website soon following the All India Council for Technical Educations (AICTE)
approval to new institutes, courses and changes in student intake for AY 2011-12.
