The system will be introduced in 30 colleges in the next semester and will cover
all colleges by the end of the next academic year
In a big technological leap, Visvesvaraya Technological University
will extend digital evaluation to all undergraduate courses from the next academic
year. Thanks to that, results will be announced within a week of the exams.
Vice-chancellor H. Maheshappa, told reporters on 23rd Monday, "the system
will be introduced in 30 colleges in the next semester and will cover all colleges
by the end of the next academic year". VTU is implementing the Bangalore University
digitization template. The university kicked off digital evaluation for PhD in 2010
as a pilot. Under digital evaluation, all answer scripts are bar coded, scanned
at high speed and uploaded on servers.
