Delhi Engineering Combined Entrance Test Details
Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) Combined Entrance Examination (DCE CEE):
The University of Delhi conducts the Delhi Combined Entrance Examination (Delhi
CEE 2012) for admission to First Semester of Bachelor of Engineering
Courses for DELHI REGION candidates passing from Schools / Colleges / Institute
located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi in Delhi College of Engineering
(DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) on Last Week of May every
year.
Courses Offered:
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
Eligibility Criteria for Delhi CEE 2012:
- Candidate must have completed minimum 17 years of age on or before the first of
October of year 2011.
- Students passing from the recognized School/ college/ Institution located within
the National Capital Territory of Delhi with minimum of 60% marks with PCM.
- Candidates should have cleared either of Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year
Course) or Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) or B.Sc(Gen.)
Group ‘A’ Final Examination or B.Sc(Hons) Examination in Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics from the University of Delhi.
For Outside Delhi Region Candidates:
A candidate passing anyone of the following examinations from the recognized School/
College/ Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi only
and securing 60 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of bachelor of
engineering course provided, he/she has passed in each subject separately. A candidate
must additionally have passed English as a subject of study either at the 10th Class
level or 12th Class level (core or elective).
Relaxation in Marks for Reserved Categories:
- Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST):
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed 10%
concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
- Children/War Widows of Defense Personnel Killed/Disabled
in Action (CW): The children and/or widows of personnel of Armed/Para-Military
forces killed/disabled in action during hostilities who apply for seats reserved
for them shall be allowed relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
- Physically Handicapped (PH): Candidates belonging
to Physically Handicapped category shall be allowed 5% concession of marks in the
minimum eligibility requirements.
How to Apply?
The Application Form for Delhi CEE 2012 will be available from the Office of the
following address only. On submission of a Pay Order or crossed Bank Draft of
400/- (including the cost of bulletin of information, application form and examination
fee) for General/OBC/CW category and
200/- for SC/ST/PH category in favour of
the Registrar, Delhi University, Delhi, drawn on any Bank from 2nd Week of March
between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Lunch Break 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) on all working
days (Monday to Friday) as per the notification issued by the University.

Important Dates:
- Last Date for submission of Delhi engineering combined entrance test application
form in Person or by Post: 2nd Week of April 2012.
- Exam Date for Delhi CEE 2012: Last Week of May, 2012.
- Delhi CEE 2012 Results: 2nd week of June, 2012.
Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern / Syllabus:
- Delhi CEE Engineering Entrance 2012 comprises
of objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each having
60 questions. The time duration of the test is 3 hours.
- There are four options for each question with one correct answer.
- There are a total of 180 questions each carrying 4 marks. So the complete paper
carries 720 marks. For each incorrect response 1 mark is deducted. The medium of
Delhi Engineering combined entrance test will be in English only.
- The Delhi College of Engineering (DCE CEE) syllabus is almost same when compared
to class XI and class XII of CBSE.
