COMEDK Medical and Dental Entrance Exam
Consortium Of Medical, engineering
and Dental College Of Karnataka (COMEDK) entrance exam is Conducted for
Admission to post Graduate course in Private, unaided, Medical and dental Colleges
of Karnataka for the Academic Year 2012-2013 through
COMEDK Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET)
and centralized Counseling.

COMEDK PGET Exam Eligibility Criteria:
- Degree / Diploma Programs:
Applicants must meet all requirements stipulated by
MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have
successfully passed their
M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institution recognized
by
MCI / DCI, and must have completed or completing their internship
by 30/04/2012 at the latest.
- For Medical:
Minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test (COMEDK PGET-2012) for eligibility for admission
to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes (All India) and Other
Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State only.
- For Dental:
As specified by the Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in
the Entrance Test (COMEDK PGET-2012) for eligibility for admission
to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes (All India) and Other
Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State only
How to apply for COMEDK 2012?
Candidates have to apply online at the website www.comedk.org. For this they have to first obtain a Demand
Draft, drawn in favour of "COMEDK", payable at
Bangalore of
1500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred Only). After filling the details in the online
form candidates have to send the printed version of the online form and send it
to COMEDK address along with Demand Draft and the mentioned documents.

Exam Pattern
- There will be one separate test for PG Medical and one separate test for PG Dental
Courses. Each test will have 180 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ).
- The time allotted for the test would be 180 minutes. The test will begin at 02:30
PM and end at 05:30 PM.
- Candidates are required to mark their answers in an OMR (Optical Mark Reader) Answer
Sheet.
- Each correct answer is awarded one mark.
- There will be no negative marking.
- However, in the event of a tie in score the principle of least negative responses
(number of wrong answer) will be adopted.
- No mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) for
any question.
Test Syllabus:
The scope of the syllabi for the Post Graduate Medical / Dental entrance test is
based on the M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. syllabus as prescribed by MCI / DCI respectively.
The entrance test will be of 3
hours having 180 objective type questions from the prescribed syllabus. There will
be no negative marking.
