A group of IITians, with the help of their seniors have created a website, where
people can find featured IIT, IIM students, pass-outs to date and check compatibility
to strike a match.
A group of IITians has decided to shake off the image of
being geeky, highbrow and haughty individuals. They want to flaunt the livelier
and flamboyant side of theirs that is open to relationships and dating. With help
from alumni they have created an online socializing and dating with like-minded
persons. The website, DateIITians.com is about meeting and socializing
with new people, especially IIMites and IITians, browsing through their profiles
and checking for compatibility level with them to find a match.
The response has been phenomenal as the founders have received more than 10,000
registrations in the last three days. The idea of starting such a portal emerged
at a discussion during their internship days. Says one of the founders, who requested
anonymity as it was a team effort, once we were discussing each others girlfriends.
One of us suggested starting a website where there are IITians and others who can
date, hook up and find each.
