CIPET Entrance Exam:
The Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology conducts an admission
test - the Joint Entrance Exam to get admission for graduate level (B.Tech) programs
in plastic engineering and technology. The CIPET is a leading institution which
is set up by the Indian Government for the Academic, Technology Support as well
as Research of plastic and its related industries. It conducts entrance which is
popularly known as CIPET JEE 2012 Entrance Exam.

How to Apply?
Information brochure and CIPET JEE 2012 entrance exam application form can be obtained
from any of CIPET centres against payment of Rs. 100/- for general candidates and
Rs. 25/- for SC/ST candidates in cash or demand draft drawn in favour of
"CIPET" A/c No. 10565622390 payable at Chennai. Candidates belongs to
North-Eastern states can also apply but there is not fees applicable for them as
they just have to produce their residential proof documents at the time of form
submission.

Exam Pattern
CIPET B.Tech Entrance Test Pattern / Syllabus:
The syllabus of the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology Joint
Entrance Exam (CIPET JEE 2012 exam) will consist of questions from subjects like:
- Physics.
- Chemistry.
- Mathematics.
The paper shall also include questions from General Knowledge. The total number
of questions carried by this paper is 100. This objective type test is to be attempted
in 2 hours time. The syllabus of this examination will be similar to that of class
12.
Selection Procedure:
- CIPET Programmes - based on academic record and performance in the Joint Entrance
Examination.
- UG Programmes - selection through respective affiliating University as per their
norms.
