CATE for admission to BA English in 21 DU Colleges, over
New Delhi : Over 13,000 students appeared for the Common
Entrance Test for BBS, BBE and BFIA on 5th June 2011, Sunday while nearly 11,000 candidates sat
for the Combined Aptitude Test for English (CATE) for admission to B.A (Honours)
English in 21 DU colleges.
Nearly 99% of the registered candidates appeared for the test. There were no glitches.
The difficulty level was much higher this time compared to last year; especially
writing the essay would have been a challenging task, said Sumanyu Satpathy, Head,
English Department conducting CATE.
The CATE scores will be declared on June 13 while a consolidated CATE cutoff will
be released by individual colleges on June 15.Those colleges not part of CATE will
admit students on the basis of Class XII marks.
