Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, has made it mandatory for
candidates to produce below mentioned certificates and documents while applying
for admission to avail reservation benefits
It is mandatory for the candidates who are eligible for admission to professional
diploma, degree and post graduation degree courses to present the certificates in
prescribed formats while applying for admission through centralized admission process.
Students applying for first year engineering, pharmaceutical, architecture and hotel
management and catering management as well as the students applying for diploma
after 10th or 12th, MBA/ MMS, MCA and M.Pharm
should have all the required documents mentioned below. If a student fails to produce
these documents, he/she will not be able to avail the benefit of reservation.
Cast certificate (Required from all backward class students for all courses) – Official
authorized by Maharashtra Government should certify that the cast falls under Maharashtra
Government’s valid list of backward classes. Cases of migration or a caste certificate
mentioning that the cast is from outside of Maharashtra will not be taken into consideration
for admission of a backward class candidate. If a student takes the admission on
the basis of such certificate, his/her admission will be cancelled at any stage.
Non creamy layer certificate : Apart from the
scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, the principle of non-creamy layer is applied
to all other backward class candidates – (VJ/ DT(A)/ NT(B)/ NT(C)/ NT(D)/ OBC/ SBC).
Accordingly, a non-creamy layer certificate valid till 31.03.2012, issued by the
officials authorized by Maharashtra Government will be required for admission to
all the courses mentioned above.
Caste validity certificate : Except for the diploma
courses, the caste validity certificate issued by the officials authorized by Maharashtra
Government is valid for all the graduate and post graduate courses mentioned above.
Domicile certificate – Required for all the candidates from Maharashtra.
Indian Nationality Certificate is a must for all the candidates taking admission
to diploma, degree and post graduate degree courses in the academic year 2011-12.
