Having to live in a relative’s house due to poor financial condition is something that pains 17-year-old Darshan Parmar the most. But, after scoring 99.64 percentile in class XII (science), Darshan, son of an auto driver and a student of S. G. Dholakia School in the city, is confident of building a house of his own for the family. His father Dinesh Parmar finds it difficult to make both ends meet with his paltry income from driving a rickshaw to support his six-member family. Despite our poor condition, my parents always supported me.
My mother also works at home to support my family, Darshan said. He said that it was after class 10 he started thinking of becoming a doctor.
