The state education department recently approved the online college admission committee’s proposal to allow students to start applying to junior colleges on the same day that their results are declared online. The committee had proposed this in order to do away with the waste of time between announcement of results online and distribution of the hard copy of the results.
This process will definitely help speed up the admission process. Students will be allowed to apply to colleges with a printout of their online results, said Sarjerao Jadhav, chairman of the state board. He added that the department has already sent out circulars about this development to all department heads. We are also trying to speed up the process and announce results earlier than usual this time round, added Jadhav.
