It was another cheerful day on 9th March, Friday for students of Std XII - both science and commerce, as they found their papers easy on the second day of the board exam. The science students said “their physics paper was easy and without any blunder”. Similarly, “the general stream papers, statistics and history were also easy”, said the students as they came out of exam centres.
Physics teachers said; that the paper was easy and even average students would be able to score passing marks while good students would be able to score high marks. "The paper was easy and we didn't find it difficult at all. It feels relaxing as the second paper after chemistry didn't scare us," says Jaisheel Chatrawala, a science student. He however said that he found questions from B segments to be a bit difficult but overall the paper was easy. Paresh Panchal, who runs private tutorials, said that after analysing physics paper, he thought that the paper would help students to score better marks. "There were tricky questions worth 4 marks. These questions were from the book but they were such that students who mugged it up would find it difficult to answer. Solving those questions needs application of lessons from physics, so it would be difficult to score 100," he said. Similarly, teachers said that the statistics paper was probably the easiest paper in the past few years. Some teachers however said that question no. 5 asked the students to calculate the number of Mondays in 2010, which confused the students. On 9th March, Friday, the district education office control room did not receive any complaints from the schools in city for delay of paper or any other such incidents.
