New Gujarat University LLB exam rules announced

In tune with the newly-implemented Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), GU has announced the new regulations for the examinations for LLB students. According to the new regulation, LLB students will be allowed just two attempts to pass their examinations through their existing syllabus. Students who are unable to clear their examinations in the two attempts will have to give the examination through the CBCS syllabus.

According to the new regulation, a total of 30 marks will be reserved for the internal test. This will constitute 10 marks for assignments, 5 marks for attendance and 15 marks for the written examination. The passing mark for the internal test will be 15 marks. The remaining 70 marks will be allocated to the external examination in which students will have to secure 50 marks to pass the test. GU will give five types of grades - O+, O, A, B+ and B, according to the system of CBCS.

GU has also announced that the final examinations for the students of the course will begin from November 3. The winter semester for LLB students will begin from December 3 and the monsoon semester will begin from July 1 every year.
