The management admission exam Madhya Pradesh Management Entrance Test (MP MET) will be conducted for the last time on March 18 this year. The exam is being held for more than 15 years now. Nearly, 15,000 students will take the MP MET exam.
The state organised entrance examination for seeking admission to various management courses in recognised B-schools of the state will be replaced by the Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) from next year as per instructions of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Deputy director, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Dr. B Laxminarayan said, “Since this year we sought prior permission from AICTE so B-Schools have no option but to accept MET scores.” Earlier, MET was to continue along with CMAT as there are non-AICTE affiliated institutes offering certificate courses in management programmes existing in the state. But now all institutes offering management programmes in the state will accept CMAT score for giving admission.
