Several colleges have reportedly not been able to fill up all the vacancies even after the last date for college admissions has passed. The worst affected are the PG college. This is the reason behind the government’s decision to extend the date.
Governor Rameshwar Thakur is expected to give his consent to the proposal on Friday 8th July. The decision however is not expected to bring major relief to the PG colleges as the examination for the sixth semester will only end by September and the results will be out by December. Only after the results are announced will the students be able to apply for admission to PG colleges.
