Institute of Management at Nirma University (IMNU) kick-started its management conclave called Prayaag 2011 on Thursday.
The event was inaugurated by head of information security practices at Mahindra SSG, Rajesh Huddar, and director of IMNU, C Gopalkrishnan. Speaking at the event Huddar talked about corporate governance and the aspect of risk management. Huddar told the students that risk, in an organization comes from three main areas: physical assets, human assets and information technology assets of the organization. Huddar also talked about the risk involved with outsourcing and the use of social media and technology. Also present at the event was chairman of MSJ Capital and Corporate Services, Sunil Jhaveri, who spoke on the functioning of financial industries. The annual management conclave will be held over two days.
