The entrance examination of B.Ed, B.Ed (special education) and Post Graduate Professional
Diploma (PGPD) courses of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU)
would be held on October 1.
Giving this informing, the public Information Officer of
UPRTOU Dr Prabhat Chandra Mishra said that the decision in this regard was taken
at a meeting of the university officials presided over by the UPRTOU vice-chancellor
Prof Ashok Kumar Bakshi.
Dr Mishra said that as per the decision, the entrance examination of B.Ed, B.Ed (special
education) and PGPD would be conducted in nine cities of the state. The examination
will be held in Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Noida, Varanasi, Bareilly,
Agra and Jhansi. Admit cards for the entrance examination will be dispatched to
the candidates by September 15, he added.
The B.Ed Programme is running at 10 study centres of UPRTOU including Hindu College,
Moradabad, RBS College, Agra, VSSD College, Kanpur, TD College, Jaunpur, DDU University,
Gorakhpur, Digamber Jain College, Baraut (Bagpat), Degree College, Upardaha, Allahabad,
Ch Tulsi Ram Yadava College, Tulsipur, Allahabad, Shyamlal Saraswati College, Shikarpur,
Bulandshahr and Shibli National PG College, Azamgarh.
Similarly, The BEd (Special Education) programme runs at nine UPRTOU study
centres including Viklang Kendra, Allahabad, UP Institute for Hearing Handicapped,
George Town, Allahabad, Israji Devi Shikshan Sansthan, Allahabad, Viklang Punarvas
Kendra, Jaunpur, Shikshit Yuva Sewa Samiti, Basti, Chetna (A Society for the Welfare
of the Mentally Retarded), Lucknow, Nay Vani School for Hearing Impaired, Varanasi,
Integrated Institute for Disabled, Varanasi and Training College for Teachers of
the Deaf, Aishbagh, Lucknow.
