Amrita University B.Tech Admission Details
Amrita Schools of Engineering B.Tech Entrance Exam:
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is conducting its Engineering Entrance Examination every
year on an all India basis for admission to the 4 year B.Tech Degree programmes
offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will get admission for the first
year of B.Tech programmes through counseling, based on their ranks in the Entrance
Examination.
The Amrita engineering entrance exam 2012 is of
3 hour duration. It will be conducted in 79 cities.

- Ettimadai (Coimbatore) Campus.
Courses Offered:
Eligibility Criteria for Amrita University B.Tech Admission:
Age: Candidates born
on or after
1st July 1991 only are eligible.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have
completed 10+2 (class XII) or its equivalent securing 60% marks or above in Mathematics,
55% or above separately in Physics and Chemistry with an aggregate of 60% in the
three subjects.

A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State
Board of Technical Education.
Note: Those who appear for the above examinations
in March / April 2012 and expect to secure minimum marks as above may also apply.
Seat allotment through Counseling will be based on the eligibility and rank obtained
by the Candidate in the Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering 2012.
How to Apply?
Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader
(OMR). Application fee is 
850/-, which covers the cost of Application form,
University Brochure, Information Handbook and Examination fee. Application fee once
paid will not be refunded. Application forms of Amrita engineering
entrance 2012 exam can be obtained as below:- By post, from the Admission
Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore
(section 2), on a written request indicating their full communication address together
with a Demand Draft for 850/- drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering
payable at Coimbatore. (On the back side of the Demand Draft, candidate should write
his/her Name and "For B.Tech Application"). Please keep a photocopy of the Demand
Draft with you for future reference.

and Coimbatore on producing a demand draft for 850/- as above.

Exam Pattern
Amrita Engineering Entrance 2012 Exam Pattern:
The duration of the examination is 3 hours (10.00 AM to 01.00 PM). There will be
only one question paper containing objective type questions in Mathematics, Physics
& Chemistry. Each question will be followed by four answers of which only one is
correct/most appropriate. The question booklet will be in English. Each question
carries 3 marks. Negative mark (-1) will be awarded
for each wrong answer.
