All India Pre Veterinary Test
AIPVT 2012 Entrance Exam
Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) was enacted in 1984 and was published
in the Extraordinary Gazette of India dated 21st August, 1984 to regulate veterinary
practice and to provide for that purpose, for the establishment of Veterinary Council
of India and State Veterinary Councils and the maintenance of Registers of veterinary
practitioners and for matters connected there with.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The Candidate must be Indian.
- The Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School
Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after
a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry,
and Biology.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in
aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2/Intermediate
Science Examination.
For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/the Scheduled Tribes or other
special category (Other Backward Classes) of students as specified by the Government
from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that of the
General category students.
How to apply?
- Please read the Instructions given in the Information Bulletin carefully before
filling the Application Form for AIPVT 2012 Entrance Exam.
- Paste recent Black & White photograph firmly (not stapled) in the space provided.
If required, CUT the Photograph to fit in the space provided for the Photograph.
- Incomplete/ unsigned/ without Photograph Forms shall be rejected.
- Students from the State of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to appear in this test,
as that State has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act,
1984 in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Candidates are required to take a printout of the Online Application Form after
successful submission of data Online. The print out of the computer generated Form,
complete in all respect as applicable for offline submission should be sent to the
Controller of Examination, Veterinary Council of India, ‘A’ Wing, 2nd Floor, August
Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi - 110066 by registered/ speed post
only.
- Candidate should attach a Demand Draft of
800/- for General/OBC category and
400/- for SC/ST Category in favour of the "VETERINARY COUNCIL OF INDIA, DELHI" payable
at New Delhi drawn on any nationalized bank for the applying for
AIPVT 2012 Entrance Exam.
